Born in a small village in Quebec, Mélanie and Danielle are the two youngest of five daughters. They grew up on the family farm, where their parents had been running a dairy farm and a maple grove for two generations. From a very young age, they developed a deep passion for agriculture and maple syrup.
After their father's death in the winter of 2021, the two sisters stepped up to take over the business. A record-breaking sugaring year in 2022 marked the beginning of a new chapter, followed in 2023 by the launch of Les 2 Sœurs à la Cabane (The 2 Sisters at the Sugar Shack), born from a simple challenge: "You're not game... we'll do it!"
Today, Mélanie and Danielle are working to renovate the sugar shack and share, without holding back, the ups and downs of the maple syrup production business. Supported by their mother and their friends and family, they move forward with determination, passion, and mutual support.
A new project is taking shape with the creation of this website and a fundraising campaign planned for 2026, in order to begin selling their products.
